Here at Becoming Homemade Co. you’ll find all things homemaking, homesteading, and homeschooling! Specifically, fresh-milled recipes as I transition from processed foods to a more whole, nutrient dense diet.

I’m learning it all along with you, so I’ll be posting my wins and my losses. My hope is that this blog allows you a little window into my life and for a community of like-minded individuals to learn from and with each other!


My husband, Atticus, and I live in the Texas Hill Country with our two children, a boy and a girl. For the first 2 years of our marriage, I was a middle school English teacher.  COVID hit right in the middle of that first school year, and everyone was pivoting to figuring out online learning. Wow – was that a hard time!


Maybe it was the craziness of the world on full display, or the fact that I got pregnant – or both! – but I yearned for a slower pace. So after my second year teaching completely remote, I felt a longing for a simple life growing by the day. And as much as I loved my students, I decided to be a stay at home mom.

Now, my days are filled with outdoor play, devouring all the books, from-scratch cooking and baking, and creating a cozy home. I’ve longed for an outlet to share all my recipes and adventures, so check out the blog and I’d love to connect with you!
